New White Horse Sharing Plates Menu
Since opening the White Horse in November last year our aim has always been to serve the best of British seafood with a sharing culture at the heart of our menu. A selection of sharing plates featuring the freshest seafood & shellfish accompany seafood platters that can all be shared & enjoyed by the whole table. This has been received incredibly well, with an award for ‘Best Seafood’ in Edinburgh, presented by The List, to show for our efforts. From speaking with customers it was clear this this style of sharing plate menu was what made White Horse so special. When it came to developing our menu we knew we wanted to increase these sharing plate options & give people even more dishes to create their very own seafood feast.
After weeks of experimenting in the kitchen & tasting sessions our new menu launched on Tuesday 10th July & we’re incredibly happy with it. Our sharing plate options have increased & include delicious dishes such as hand dived scallops from the Isle of Mull with courgette, caviar & chervil butter. Octopus & merguez with pine nuts, mint & basil combine seafood & spicy sausage with a fresh touch. Charred lobster tail with curried mayo & our new pickled oysters with cucumber & horseradish are already proving popular.
After a glass of fizz & selection of oysters at the bar our sharing plates are a great way to start your meal before moving onto one of our seafood platters. House, Full House & Hot platter options all offer the best & freshest seafood from clams, crab claws & tuna tartare to razor clams, scotch bonnet salmon & grilled kimchi oysters.
