Edinburgh Best Seafood Award
After opening only 6 months ago we’re absolutely thrilled to be nominated in the ‘Best Seafood’ category of the Edinburgh Restaurant Awards 2018. We’re up against some fantastic Edinburgh seafood restaurants & we’re extremely proud to of the nomination.
Since opening in November 2017 it has been, and still is, our aim to offer the best British seafood & shellfish whilst encouraging a sharing culture. Small plates of grilled octopus, sesame tuna, hand dived scallops, king crab legs are a few stand outs that we constantly receive excellent feedback on & are favourites of the White Horse staff. Our small plates are a great way to enjoy the flavours & textures of different seafood & shellfish. As is a White Horse seafood platter. With three options to choose from - house, full house & hot platter, they’re the ultimate seafood feast.
Another hit with our customers are our series of weekly events & offers where you can enjoy our delicious food offering whilst making a great saving. Monday to Thursday, 4-6pm, you can enjoy our range of locally sourced oysters for £1 each as part of our Buck-A-Shuck oyster happy hour. Monday & Tuesday is Corkage Club where you can enjoy our own wine for a small £5 fee. Who doesn’t love a good BYOB?!? Every Wednesday 500g of lobster & fries are only £22. And Sunday, the day or rest, our surf & turf takes centre stage where 225g of rib eye steak & half lobster are only £30.
Great seafood deserves great wine & fizz & the White Horse bar boasts a fantastic selection of both. Wines & champagne from around the old & new world feature alongside an exceptional cocktail list of classics & bespoke house creations.
